If you're organising a party, you can be sure that magic will fit the event. And here are some good reasons why.

It can be formal or casual, or a bit of both.
It's flexible. I can do a show and/or table-hopping.
It's always a talking point, and a great icebreaker.
Your guests will be truly astonished!
Most people don't expect a magician; spring a welcome surprise!
Audience participation means that everyone gets involved.

Here are some of the sorts of tricks you can expect to see.

Close-up

Tricks, sleight-of-hand, predictions featuring cards, coins, scarves, rings etc.
Whatever comes to hand can be used to deceive the eye.

Example:
The ghost deck always goes down well. In this trick, a ghost pulls your chosen card (which the magician can't see) out from the pack of cards. The magician can put his hands right around the card, proving that it is truly suspended in the air!

Further away

Amazing and amusing illusions and feats of conjuring. Levitation, rope magic, ring magic.

Example:
Scissors through jacket. Watch a pair of scissors go right through a guest's jacket, but leaving no hole!

At a safe distance

Feats that require drum-rolls…fire-eating, balloon swallowing etc.

Example:
My assistant stands in a box. Two sharp metal plates are pushed horizontally through it (and her!). Her middle section is then pushed free of the box's top and bottom. Can she emerge in one piece when the trick is over? This is the famous but still astounding 'zig-zag cabinet'!

Don't forget the small print!

Please remember these tricks are all subject to change, and I cannot guarantee the examples given will be shown, although I will do my best to accommodate any requests.
